In the last few years, there has been a rise in the popularity of non-chocolate advent calendars, especially beauty ones. Having purchased a few of these for myself in the run up to Christmas before, I thought I’d compile a list of some of the many, many options that are available. I’ve ordered this list from lowest price to highest price, because that’s the way I’m used to doing any online shopping!
Sew Your Own Advent Calendar, £6
This is so adorable! I love sewing, embroidery, and other crafts, mainly as they’re good ways of keeping my hands busy and trying to distract myself from picking at my split ends. This includes felt for you to make the advent calendar as well as 24 Christmas themed felt toys. It may seem like this is aimed at children, but I can see anyone who likes crafts enjoying this! Prime Student members can get 10% off.
25 Days of Disney Baubles, £15
This year, Primark has released a Disney advent calendar filled with 25 super cute baubles for you to decorate your tree with throughout December. And at £15, that’s only 60p per bauble. That’s such a good price, especially considering that these Primark x Disney baubles are usually 4 for £4. It’s such a bargain, and perfect for any Disney fanatic. The 25 Days of Disney Baubles advent calendar is available in Primark stores now!
English Tea Shop Advent Calendar, £15.25
This advent calendar would such a wonderful gift for anyone who likes tea. It’s pretty affordable, especially compared to some of the high-end tea calendars I found. It is a premium collection of 25 handpicked, organic teas. With this calendar, you could enjoy a new tea every morning in the lead up to Christmas! (Side note – I think that this is possibly the most British thing I’ve ever had on my blog.)
Bomb Cosmetics Advent Calendar, £17
The Bomb Cosmetics advent calendar is such a bargain, at only £17 for 24 bath bombs and soaps – that’s only about 70p per item! Bomb Cosmetics use natural products wherever they can, and their products are jam-packed with essential oils. Almost everything is handmade, including the adorable wrapping. And the best thing about Bomb Cosmetics? They’re completely cruelty free! They even refuse to sell their products in countries that require animal testing by law. Basically, they’re an amazing, affordable company and I would definitely recommend this advent calendar!
Stationery Advent Box, £18
This advent box contains 12 days worth of stationery, including washi tape, sticky notes, pens, stickers, and so much more. Every box is unique, so you’ll definitely be surprised! There’s also a 25 days of Christmas box as well, which is slightly more expensive at £35. It’s totally up to you how much you want to get. It would be a perfect fit for bullet journalers, students, or just anyone who loves stationery.
Unicorn Stationery Advent Calendar, £25
There aren’t that many stationery calendars around (that I could find anyway), but this is a super cute postcard one. By Christmas day, you’ll have a set of 24 adorable unicorn postcards, and you can spread the joy even more by sending them to friends and family. Or, you know, treat yourself and keep the postcards for yourself! Personally, I think they’d look so nice as room décor.Jewellery Advent Calendar, £25
This advent calendar by SIX contains 24 jewellery items, including rings, earrings, and necklaces. It has quite a nice range of products, in gold, silver, and rose gold. Personally, I think that it is aimed more at teenagers and young adults, but I still think it would make a great gift! I know that 15 year old me would have absolutely loved something like this. Also I really love the design of the front of the advent calendar!Lego Star Wars: The Last Jedi Advent Calendar, £26
Indulge your inner child with this super fun Lego Star Wars advent calendar! It includes seven minifigures and some vehicles. Honestly, I haven’t actually seen any of the Star Wars films (please don’t hate me). Luckily Lego has such a wide appeal that it doesn’t even matter!

Bath Bomb and Soap Advent Calendar, £30
Behind each door in this advent calendar, you’ll find one of 12 miniature handmade soap slices or 12 mini bath bombs – perfect for relaxing and pampering during the run up to Christmas! This isn’t too expensive compared to other cruelty free soap brands that have suddenly become extortionate.
Personalised Scented Candle Advent Calendar, £32

It includes 24 candles, in 12 different scents, so you’ll have the opportunity to try out each scent twice! They include vanilla, white linen, vanilla lime, lemon meringue, cinnamon bun, blueberry pie, ocean breeze, pink gardenia, mulberry, citrus orange, lavender, and apple cinnamon.
Marks and Spencer Beauty Advent Calendar, £35
In my opinion, this advent calendar is going to sell out, fast. At only £35, it’s definitely worth it, especially as the products are worth over £250. However, it isn’t quite as good of a deal as it seems because you have to spend at least £35 in M&S homeware, fashion, and/or beauty to be eligible to buy the advent calendar for £35. Even so, it’s still a decent deal, and it’ll give you a chance to get some of your Christmas shopping done early. It’ll be released in stores and online on the 6th of November.
12 Days of Tropical Jewellery, £39
This advent calendar will take you through the 12 days of Christmas. I love this one so much because it has some really quirky pieces of jewellery. You also get quite a wide range of jewellery with this advent calendar, including pins, earrings, hairbands, a keyring, and necklaces. This is probably my favourite jewellery advent calendar for 2018!
Advent Biscuits, £40
These iced biscuits from Honeywell Bakes are probably the cutest biscuits ever! And I imagine that they’re delicious too. If chocolate feels too sweet for you, maybe biscuits are the way to go. Although these gorgeously iced treats do look so deliciously sugary.
Coffee Advent Calendar, £43
Personally, I really hate coffee. Like, a lot. Even the smell of it makes me feel like throwing up. But anyway… This advent calendar seems like it could prove useful in getting you through those dark winter days. It comes in re-sealable pouches to ensure that your coffee is fresh. You’ll also have a chance to try new and exciting exotic coffee flavours! (This all sounds horrible to me, but I’m sure a lot of you guys will love this idea!)The Body Shop, from £45

The 2018 Asos advent calendar features products for hair, skin, and face. It includes goodies from brands such as Benefit, Clinique, Spectrum, Iconic London, Bobbi Brown, and so many more. This one is pretty special as it features the best of L’Oréal brands, such as Urban Decay and Lancôme. There are a lot of different types of products in this calendar, including perfumes, primers, mascaras, and skincare. I like this one as it allows you to test out new products from quite a few brands. This’ll be released on the 26th of September, exclusively at Selfridges.
ESPA Advent Calendar, £130
ESPA’s 2018 calendar is the best of all of their products. It’ll include shower gel, cleansers, bath oils, balms, body butter, moisturisers, and more.
